The series is their second production together; their first was the 2009 telefilm, My Fake Fiance. I know, I know.

Melissa "Mel" Burke (Melissa Joan Hart) was a rebellious, irresponsible party girl growing up but now she must take care of her niece and nephew after their mother was arrested for money laundering. Of course.
Meanwhile, Joey "Joe" Longo (Joey Lawrence) is a former commodities trader, who lived in his car during a bitter divorce with his ex-wife. Somehow, he has agreed to be the live-in nanny to assist Mel and give advice to the kids.
And the hilarity ensues.
